Falkor is looking for 1 Dutch volunteer under 26 years, to work at the HRIDC (Human Rights Information and Documentation Center) in Georgia, starting from September 2007.

For 8 months you will be active at the HRIDC office in Tbilisi. You will be involved in a campaign to improve the relations between Georgians and Abkhazians living in Georgia.

Activities in this campaign are e.g:

Apart from this the volunteer will assist in several regular activities of the organisation, like writing and editing for the online human rights magazine www.HumanRights.ge.




Practical information:


This year Falkor is sending 7 Dutch EVS volunteers to Caucasus (Georgia and Armenia). All volunteers will remain in contact with each other through our EVS network and join trainings (like the on-arrival training ) and meetings together.

International travel costs, visa, insurance, accommodation, food and local transport costs will be covered. Also task-related and personal support (a mentor) and language lessons will be provided. The volunteer's allowance (pocket money) for the "Close to me"-project is 150 Euro per month.

The project is financed with support of the YOUTH programme of the European Commission.
